Greetings, y'all:

Whoever said things slow down in the summer was joking, right?!

1) Below: Are you stuck managing soap opera stars? Learn how to spot and handle them in this week's wellness business tip.

2) Weird News: Turns out that many shoppers don't like eating food that's touched "icky" items in their shopping cart.  A surprising example: cookie packages + indigestion products.

3) Men's Health Week: It ended Sunday. Turns out lots of folks weren't aware of it.  Tell us: will you plan special men's wellness events next year?

4) Download: Your tax dollars at work in the new brain fitness report from the U.S. Centers For Disease Control. It's a bit dull, but page 21 sums up what scientists do/don't know.

5) Guinea pig: Want to review Flow virtual fitness coach software? Best if you're at a desk most of the day.  First person to email us gets it, and it's yours to keep.

6) Survey: What are your vacation plans? Almost 40% say "none."  Is this true for you too?

Take care,

When Employees Star In Soap Operas

READING TIME: ABOUT 5 MINUTES

Every manager periodically encounters high-maintenance employees who require constant parenting and supervision simply to make it through the day.

Yet avoiding the situation is the worst possible choice.  This week's tips give you the confidence to address these stressful situations.
