results: lucky kindergarteners!
Last week,y'all voted
for the school wellness project you thought Radial should fund.
The votes are in
and we will be funding yoga mats for a kindergarten class.
We usually get pictures and thank-you notes, so we'll share those as
they're available.
Ms. F's class is part of a high-poverty community that she says
"seems to have forgotten about exercise and good
health." She's been teaching her kindergarten class
yoga for 30 minutes every week, which her students absolutely
love.
While Ms. F's
students are always asking her when they'll be having their next yoga
lesson, the school doesn't have the funding to purchase yoga mats for
the kids.
Ms. F plans to use these mats both to continue teaching
her kindergarteners yoga and to show the rest of the
faculty how to implement physical activity in their classrooms.
