Why it’s so smart (in no particular order):

  • Shows other consumers that you love your car so much that you stick with the same make, over and over and over.
  • Makes customers feel like they’re part of something special.
  • Lets your customers show off what they think is cool about them and their experience with the Subaru brand: skiing, rowing, cycling, concern for the environment, hanging onto their car for over 100,000 miles!
  • Promotes “prizing behavior” by personalizing their vehicle – makes it more “theirs”.

How could you adapt Subaru’s idea to your health club, yoga studio, wellness center, or clinic?

I’m picturing stuff like customized T-shirts, locker plaques, pin-back buttons…but I’m sure that just scratches the surface.
