Notice the unusually long free-membership period in this promotion. I’m guessing that reflects a combination of the YMCA’s service emphasis, plus, unlike some market segments, this population is unlikely to spend its time racing from gym to gym abusing free-trial periods.
Also notice that they mention additional programs clearly chosen to be of interest to cancer survivors.
