Here’s a creative way to nudge habits towards a healthier lifestyle – a few select Walmarts in West Virginia worked with the local health department to swap the usual junk food display at the register for healthier fare.
Not only are the customers overwhelmingly supportive and happy with the new selection of bananas and apples, but another independent store in town decided to follow suit. Plus, the selection isn’t just healthier snack items. They also added toys that encourage physical activity. Boy, it would be nice to see this trend spread.
