WELL-certified homes? Think LEED certified, except instead of being really great for the environment, it’s ultra-healthy for the inhabitants. These wellness amenities are pretty darn amazing, no doubt. And I wouldn’t mind having a few of these in MY house.
Yet there’s a growing concern among health researchers that one of the reasons kids are sicker with conditions like asthma is because they aren’t exposed enough these days to the “real” world, microbes and all. Ironic if the ultimate “healthy house” actually made people more susceptible to certain illnesses, huh?
